HI, I’M EDDA

Let’s communicate with purpose.

I help the world navigate the most consequential technology conversation of our time: how AI shapes the lives of children and families.

As Vice President of Communications at Common Sense Media and a member of the executive leadership team, I serve as chief spokesperson and lead global communications strategy, media relations, and executive messaging in service of responsible AI, trust and safety.

For a decade, I served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth under Governors Warner (D), Kaine (D), and McDonnell (R), a bipartisan appointment that reflects my ability to build trust across political divides. I serve on the Board of Trustees for Orinda Union School District, overseeing a $100M bond budget, and as a board director for Facing History & Ourselves. I’ve been quoted in The Washington Post, Bloomberg, and FORTUNE.

From government and advocacy at the American Academy of Pediatrics to Fortune 500 consulting for Lucid Motors, Pinterest, the TV Parental Guidelines Monitoring Board and Wells Fargo, I've built a career making complex ideas impossible to ignore.

Georgetown and Hampton Universities provided the foundation. A career spent navigating sectors, ideologies, and institutions gave me the instincts to lead communications that build lasting trust.

“My approach is grounded in strategic thinking, calm judgement, and practical action.”
